Under Health and Safety legislation, Employers have duties to protect the health, safety and wellbeing of those in their employment. These duties apply at any time an employee is engaged in an activity on behalf of their employers, including driving. Competence of drivers, safe systems of work when in transit and fitness for purpose of vehicles all play a part within these duties and should be monitored as part of a management system
