On 17th September last year, the Health and Safety (Miscellaneous Amendments) regulations came into force. These regulations amended various sets of regulations, clarifying a number of issues that the European Commission raised regarding the Framework Directive and addressing drafting problems that had occurred. Four of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) were amended; Regulations 10, 11, 18 and 35. As well as PUWER, First Aid, Display Equipment and Manual Handling were amended by this update. Copies of the amendment can be obtained from the Stationery Office website: |
